These terms are an agreement between you and Veilrun, LLC ("Veilrun," "we," "us") for your use of the Veilrun app and website. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Veilrun.
1. Who Can Use Veilrun
You must be at least 13 years old to use Veilrun. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Veilrun only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf.
2. Your Account
- Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep your password private.
- You're responsible for activity on your account.
- Usernames must be unique and appropriate. We may change or remove a username that is offensive, impersonates someone, or is reserved.
3. Quests Are Not Professional Advice
Veilrun offers quests and daily challenges about fitness, money, relationships, and other parts of life. They are for motivation and general information only. They are not medical, health, financial, legal, or professional advice. Use your own judgment, consider your own health and circumstances, and talk to a qualified professional before making significant changes. Only take on activities that are safe for you.
4. Coins and Rewards
- Coins are earned in the app and cannot be bought with real money.
- Coins, frames, titles, artifacts, and other rewards have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred or sold.
- We may adjust prices, rewards, and items in the app, and may correct balances or items that result from errors or misuse.
5. Guild Membership
Guild membership is an optional, automatically renewing subscription that unlocks extra features, which currently include the Forge, unlimited active quests, and the ability to buy Guild Collection items with earned coins.
- Billing: the price and billing period are shown before you subscribe. Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
- Automatic renewal: your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Introductory offers: if you subscribe with an introductory price, it applies for the period stated when you subscribe, then renews at the regular price unless you cancel.
- Cancelling: manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep your benefits until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds: refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
- If your membership ends: custom quests you created stay in your account, and Guild items you bought with coins stay yours to use. You won't be able to create new Forge quests, adopt quests beyond the free limit, or buy new Guild items until you rejoin.
- Changes: we may change membership features or prices. Price changes apply to future billing periods, and Apple or Google will notify you as their rules require.
6. Your Content
You own the content you create in Veilrun, such as journal entries and custom quests. You give us permission to store and process that content so we can provide the app to you. If you choose to share content with other users or submit it for others to use, you give us permission to display and distribute it within Veilrun for that purpose. Please don't post anything you don't have the right to share.
7. Acceptable Use
Please don't:
- harass, threaten, or harm other users, or share hateful, sexual, or illegal content;
- impersonate others or use misleading usernames;
- cheat, exploit bugs, or manipulate coins, rewards, or subscriptions;
- access other users' data, interfere with the app's security, or attempt to reverse engineer or overload our systems;
- use Veilrun for any unlawful purpose.
8. Suspension and Termination
You can stop using Veilrun and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or put other users or Veilrun at risk. If we close your account for a violation, you may lose access to coins, rewards, and content in it.
9. Our Content
The Veilrun app, name, logo, artwork, quests, lore, and other content we provide belong to Veilrun, LLC and are protected by law. We give you a personal, non transferable permission to use the app for your own use under these terms.
10. App Stores
If you download Veilrun from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you also agree to that store's terms. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its content. If you got the app from Apple, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, except where these terms give you more rights.
11. Disclaimers
Veilrun is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, including that the app will be uninterrupted, error free, or that your progress will never be lost. Features may change or be removed over time.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Veilrun, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of Veilrun. Our total liability for any claim related to Veilrun is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or 50 US dollars. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New Hampshire, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date at the top and let you know in the app or by email when appropriate. Continuing to use Veilrun after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
